So here is a homemade version from my friend Myriam and my whole family does not want something else anymore.
- 1 kg Dates pitted & pressed
- 250g Cacao powder (60% - 70% even better)
- 750g Almond butter
- ¼ cup vanilla (liquid or powder)
- If dates not pressed, put them in a pan filled with water. Simmer till water is absorbed. Put the dates in a blender and blend it till smooth.
- Add vanilla
- Add Almond butter
- Add Cacao Powder
Make sure the Datella has a smooth consistency after each adding. If not getting a consistency desired, add some luck warm water till you like it.
Makes about 3-4 pots of 500ml
Keep it in the refrigerator or you can even freeze it.
